World Healing Day is held on the last Saturday of April each year at 10 am in hundreds of cities, in over 70 nations around the world. Born out of research at Princeton University, the Global Consciousness Project found that during times of great tragedy human consciousness focuses to such a degree that it actually affects their computers physically all around the world. In 2007 the Trujillo family began farming its ancestral land in order to maintain the spiritual and cultural traditions of the land-based people of this area, to develop a sustainable lifestyle and to help feed our community. The farm grows a variety of crops, focusing on heirloom native crops such as chile, squash, beans and corn. We use new technologies, such as drip irrigation, as well as the traditional practice of using the "acequia," the miles-long irrigation ditch that was built by our ancestors in the 1690's.
