Thank You to all who are participating in ongoing Earth Healing Day activities. We've been receiving lots of wonderful stories from people all over the world. We thought you'd enjoy some excerpts:
Various members of the Loretto Community participated in Earth Healing Day on August 15, 2010, from St. Louis, Long Island, Louisville, and Denver, USA. We shared a beautiful prayer service adapted from prayers posted on the Church World Service website. We loved being part of a global community envisioning a healed and healthy Earth! — Sisters of Loretto, USA
The dogs and I Om'd down the brook, through the woods, along our estuary rivershore (where we were met by three beautiful blue herons)... Oms flowing out to the sea, up the West Highland Coast of Cape Breton Island (where I know the Tibetan Buddhist Gampo Abbey is aware of the day!) and to every other part of our beautiful globe—visualizing a return to Wholeness... thanking, honoring, praising, loving, blessing and Om-ing the entire hour through. The blue, blue sky responded with wisps of feathery angel wing clouds. Namaskara to all the kingdoms of life of this precious Being, the Planet Earth! — Canada
Our program included chanting, silence, prayers, visualization, meditation, and then more chanting, silence, and prayers... 75 - 80 people... All felt happy to be part of this and rejuvenated after. — India
My friend and I played Mozart for the hour as we dedicated and each did a blessing to Mother Gaia... truly joyful... — United States
We had a family ceremony at home, plus several people from all over engaged. I felt our Mother Earth very deeply relaxing, and in the afternoon started a long lasting heavy rain... Feeling deeply connected... — Germany
In a grassy clearing under trees by huge boulders, Native drummers set the beat and raised voice in native tongue in song to our Mother. Chanting in a circle with them, thirty plus experienced meditators and energy healers sounded a chorus of OMs. As these cultures blended, the energy built, and the wind swirled the trees above us as though nature was acknowledging our offering. We experienced the bliss of connection—one to another, human to planet, and time zone to time zone. We received the wave, we gave to the wave, and we sent it on to the next loving group—with cleansing blessings for our precious planet. — United States
As I knelt and chanted Om directly into the Earth, I felt Her sorrow and cried. Then I heard "Now feel my joy"— and I did feel Her joy. This helped me hold the vision of my wholeness in all my brokeness, as I saw Her wholeness in all her brokeness at the hand of we, her children. At the end of the hour I stood barefoot on the grass and felt a strong vibration arising... as much as I felt love for Gaia, I felt her love for all of us. Truly, we are the fortunate ones. — United States
...The sound of Om became so enormous and round, penetrating all matter and time. I could see the energy rushing towards wherever it is needed, receptive, and ready to sustain full health... — United States
Five wonderful women... an hour of dancing the five rhythms then an hour of Earth Healing meditation... Such a blessing to feel involved. — New Zealand
Being a part of the circle of chanters was a great honor today. On my way home, as I neared the mountain range where I live, I saw a breathtakingly beautiful display of light beams coming down from the above the clouds. Was this a thank you from Earth for the work we did today? I'd sure like to think so. — United States
Thank you for initiating Om world healing day, and giving others the chance to take part. It can be done what ever you are doing. it costs no money, just good intentions and love and compassion for the planet and gaia's kingdoms. They are desperate at this time. DO MORE each year and on monthly Om healing days. Keep building the momentum. — United States
I had a small group here in Canmore which seemed to raise a good strong Om for Earth Healing Day. We all felt very positive and happy after our hour of dedication. I know of four other groups, one in Wales, UK, one in Calgary, one in Massachusetts, and one in London, UK, which were small but sounded potent. I would love to hear about the experiences of other groups other groups around the world. How did to go for you? — Canada
I went to one of my favorite hiking trails here in Portland, OR. I took a garbage bag with me and picked up any trash along the way. I also spent time meditating and giving thanks to this beautiful planet for all that it provides. I ended by sending Reiki to the entire planet and more specifically to wherever the Universe thought it needed to go the most in that moment. — United States
It felt great to be a part of this! The vibration I felt through me for the rest of the day/night was amazing!
I hope we can do this together regularly. I have also made a commitment to send Reiki to the Earth on a more consistent basis. — United States
My mother, age 98, my son and I participated from my cabin on Blue Ridge in Tulare County, California. We sang "Amazing Grace," had a conversation about our favorite places on Earth and the places we feel sorry for. We said a prayer of confession, praise and dedication. Then I went for a solitary walk around the beautiful property, chanting Om. I experienced a full spectrum of emotion, knowing that we were participating in a global even in such a solitary and remote place. I profoundly appreciate the opportunity. — United States
